Logistics Manager

Position Summary

The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all logistics operations within a manufacturing environment, including warehousing, distribution, transportation, and inventory management. This role ensures the efficient movement of raw materials, WIP and finished goods, adherence to production schedules, and alignment with company performance goals and safety standards. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a track record of using KPI’s, Lean practices, and systems tools to drive the supply chain and warehouse efficiently, accuracy and support to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with manufacturing and operational goals.
• Manage daily operations related to inbound and outbound shipments, warehousing, and distribution.
• Coordinate transportation of raw materials to the production floor and delivery of finished goods to customers.
• Optimize routing, carrier selection, and freight cost to enhance delivery performance and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure accurate inventory management and material availability for uninterrupted production.
• Monitor KPIs and logistics metrics; generate reports for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with procurement, production planning, and quality teams to align supply chain processes.

Collaborate cross-functionally with production, planning, procurement, and quality to support manufacturing goals and ensure material availability.

Lead and develop a high-performing logistics team; provide coaching, training, performance reviews, and enforce company policies.

Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment, forklifts, wrapping machines, compressors, scales, and ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

Knowledge of import and export concepts and regulations.
