Snelling is currently hiring for a Shipping And Receiving Associate in the Irondale area. Seeking a self-motivated candidate with a strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills to join the warehouse and quality control staff. First shift opening, with pay starting around $17.00-18.00/hr to start.

Job Description For Shipping/Receiving Associate:

• Assist with receiving UPS and Fed Ex shipments daily
• Count and inspect merchandise to ensure it conforms to purchase order and meets company standards
• Label and stock products in designated areas
• Review quality and accuracy of shipments
• Pull and package merchandise in accordance with company guidelines
• Prepare packages for UPS and Fed Ex shipments daily
• Assist with fulfillment and distribution projects
• Perform general warehouse duties
• Ensure warehouse and stockroom are neat and orderly
• Dispose of empty boxes and used packing materials daily

Qualifications For Shipping/Receiving Associate:

• 3-4 years of Shipping/Receiving experience in warehouse/distribution
• Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and competing demands
• Proven track record of being reliable and responsible
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with co-workers
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instruction
• Above average computer skills
• Ability to lift 60 pounds
• Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping software
