General Description

Biovire is seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Staff Accountant as a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment. This position supports strategic decision-making by delivering timely insights, managing complex accounting tasks, and collaborating across departments including R&D, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and update schedules to support journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Monitor and report on inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and production variances.
• Manage fixed assets and work collaboratively with Operations to ensure timely and accurate capitalization.
• Partner with supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate financial tracking of clinical trials, drug development costs, and product launches.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure compliance with FDA and other regulatory bodies.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning for R&D investments and capital expenditures.
• Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and pharmaceutical industry trends.
