Job description

Role : Travel Polysomnographic Technician (PSG Tech / Sleep Technician)

Location : Ithaca NY

Duration : 13 Weeks contract

Shift : 12-hour night shift

Schedule : 36 hours per week / 3 days in a week

Pay breakdown :

  • Hourly rate - $63.00 $19.45 taxable $43.55 non-taxable
  • OT rate - $94.50
  • Weekly Gross - $2268.00 $700.00 taxable $1568.00 stipend

Job Summary :

Polysomnographic Technician (PSG Tech / Sleep Technician)

The Polysomnographic Technician (PSG Tech) is responsible for conducting overnight sleep studies and related diagnostic tests to evaluate and diagnose sleep disorders. This role includes preparing patients for procedures monitoring physiological data throughout the study ensuring patient safety and assisting in preliminary scoring of sleep recordings for physician review.

Requirements :

  • Minimum 2-3 years of recent experience as Sleep Tech required
  • Hospital experience required
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • Must be registered with BRPT AASM or NBRC as an RPSGT RST or a respiratory therapist (CRT / RRT) with sleep credentials required
  • NY state Sleep Technician license required
  • No locals / 50 miles radius rule
