Ophthalmology Physician

Key Details - Assignment Type : Locum Tenens- Setting : Outpatient Clinic- Start Date : December 10, 2025- Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM (two weeks on, two weeks off)- Patient Population : Adult- Location : Houghton, MI- Stipends : Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities - Perform ophthalmic surgeries and procedures, including cataract removal, glaucoma treatments, and intra-ocular injections.- Conduct follow-up consultations with surgical patients.- Manage a busy clinic schedule with a minimum of 4 patients per hour and up to 12-14 procedures / surgeries per day.- Collaborate with two efficient and knowledgeable medical assistants.

Qualifications - Board Certified in Ophthalmology- Must hold a BLS certification- Skilled in required surgical / invasive ophthalmology procedures

Working Hours - Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM- Two weeks on, two weeks off schedule

Skills - Proficient in cataract removal techniques such as phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implant- Experience with intra-ocular injections- Competent in ultrasound interpretation, photos interpretation, fluorescein angiography, and optical coherence tomography
