Job description

KDG Construction Consulting is seeking an experienced Transmission Line Engineer to support an exciting project that will upgrade four 230-kV transmission lines within shared Right-of-Way (ROW) corridors in the Valley area.

This project utilizes a bundled approach to coordinate design, outage planning, and future construction across all segments.

Early design and constructability reviews will play a key role in reducing risks and improving overall project scheduling.

  • Remote Opportunity Duties and Responsibilities include :
  • Perform transmission line design using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and related software tools Review and coordinate design packages to ensure technical accuracy and constructability Support interdisciplinary coordination across design, planning, and construction teams Contribute to outage planning and risk mitigation strategies Participate in design review meetings and provide technical recommendations.

Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and safety requirements Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering (or related field) Minimum five (5) years of experience in transmission line design for major utility or infrastructure projects Proficiency with PLS-CADD ; experience with California transmission projects strongly preferred Understanding of utility design standards, permitting processes, and environmental constraints Strong communication and coordination skills in multidisciplinary project environments Professional Engineer (PE) license in California is a plus.
