Description

Coryell Health's Emergency Department is dedicated to providing exceptional, individualized nursing care to patients from admission to discharge. We focus on delivering goal-directed services tailored to each patient's needs, ensuring a high standard of care throughout their emergency treatment. Our organization values our nursing staff and offers competitive pay based on experience, along with shift differentials and incentives for float time.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver individualized nursing care utilizing the nursing process for emergency department patients.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess patients' conditions during their stay in the emergency department.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care activities thoroughly.
  • Ensure adherence to all hospital and nursing unit protocols and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Current RN license registered in the state of Texas or a temporary permit to practice.
  • Previous experience in Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit is preferred.
  • Up-to-date certifications in BLS and ACLS; PALS certification required within one year.
  • NIHSS certification must be obtained within six months of hire; maintain without lapse.
  • Completion of TNCC certification within eighteen months and basic EKG / arrhythmia course within six months of employment.
