Overview

Electro-Mechanical Engineer – CAD Parts Librarian at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). The Electro Mechanical & ECAD Library team supports the creation, verification, and maintenance of electronic component libraries to enable rapid, high-quality circuit board design across the organization.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Electro Mechanical Engineer – CAD Parts Librarian, you will ensure that every library part is accurate, functional, and compliant with MFC standards. You will act as the primary liaison for ECAD library part requests, performing functional checks, and generating symbols and footprints that designers can trust. Your responsibilities will include :

• Process and fulfill ECAD library part requests from engineering teams.
• Perform functional verification of library parts to confirm correct behavior in simulation and layout tools.
• Create and update schematic symbols and PCB footprints using Siemens Xpedition, adhering to the MFC Standard for symbol and footprint generation.
• Maintain version control and documentation for all library components, ensuring traceability and compliance.
• Collaborate with electro mechanical, hardware, and software engineers to capture new part data and resolve library related issues.
• Conduct periodic audits of the library to identify obsolete or redundant parts and recommend cleanup actions.
• Provide training and guidance to engineers on best practices for library usage and part selection.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that streamline library workflows and enhance data quality.
