Job Description
This field‑based role requires candidates to live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. This geography covers Orlando, Kissimmee, Lakeland, Ocoee, Palm Bay, Saint Cloud, Port Saint Lucie, Riviera Beach.
Execute brand strategy and tactics in field, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs to maximize sales performance while placing the patient at the center of all efforts and operating within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, etc. to meet or exceed objectives.
- Create pre‑call plan using SMART objectives and execute post‑call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections, misunderstandings, concerns and consistently gain calls to action to close every sale.
- Proactively and continuously serve customer needs, expectations and challenges to build trusted customer relationships and achieve win‑win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
- Develop and execute call plan that achieves set metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, product, clinical, and sales expertise and share market intelligence with in‑field team, brand team and sales manager to achieve alignment.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers, identify and maintain disease‑state experts and speakers / advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business‑related field preferred; high school diploma / GED required. Equivalent industry experience (five years with at least three years in pharma / health / science) may satisfy degree requirement.In‑depth scientific, therapeutic, product and competitive knowledge; recognized expert resource. Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools, strategic and critical thinking. Operates effectively in a matrix environment.Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills. Proactively adapts selling approach to customer style / behavior. Provides impact through ideas for the organization and anticipates changes.Influences others, credible role model, builds collaborative partnerships, leads by example, displays positive behaviors and coaches peers in challenging environments.Documented success in leadership and support role with increased responsibility at district, region or organizational levels. Leverages findings to develop sales strategies.Preferred : Proven sales performance in therapeutic areas; commercial pharma experience such as physician / account based selling, training, managed health care or marketing.English language proficiency verbally and in writing.Must meet all HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities.Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements. Driving personal auto, company vehicle or equivalent allowed.Key Stakeholders
External : Specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, others depending on brand plan.
Internal : In‑field team members, sales management (DSM), marketing management, training, customer excellence, and brand plan stakeholders.

Compensation range reflects possible base pay; actual compensation depends on many factors.
