Job Overview
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for executing design concepts for clients and the agency and ensuring all creative deliverables are produced on time. The designer is responsible for concepting design solutions based on approved creative direction for social media content, e-blast design, print and digital advertisements, brochures, flyers, websites, etc. The designer will also collaborate to ensure print and digital quality standards are met and collect, process, and organize files to send them to production. The designer participates in internal team meetings and client meetings as needed and must be able to troubleshoot issues with a creative solution to ensure brand standards, design integrity and quality are met.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Create and design collateral, print and digital media materials
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met
- Concept fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print and digital experiences
- Pay attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy, quality and a critical eye for design aesthetics
- Finalize and provide layouts and final mechanical files for print and digital projects to specifications
- Collaborate with account team to understand client requirements
- Build and manipulate creative files within Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring quality control as well as timely and efficient production
- Prepare files for delivery to client and ensure product is digital or print-ready
- Work within creative strategy and client brand standards
- Be able to research and quickly attain knowledge of clients and their brand
- Manage projects proactively
- Maintain consistent brand standard across all platforms; social, web, print and advertising
- Create graphics based on client brand and visual identities
- Stay abreast of design and website trends
- Partner with the creative and account teams to strategize creative solutions for design, photography and video projects
- Troubleshoot problems and find solutions for the creation of design projects
- Assist in archiving and filing final files
- Take initiative and exercise good judgment within established procedural guidelines to best complete tasks
- Communicate any problems or obstacles to team leaders
Qualifications
BA or BFA in graphic design2 or more years of agency experience a plusFluent in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)Knowledge of WordPress, Shopify or other website platformsUnderstanding of social media platforms and design requirementsCreative thinking with attention to detailHighly organized, time management and strong multitasking skillsExcellent analytical abilitiesStrong understanding of industry trends and creative toolsKnowledge of print, digital and web mediumsSense of urgency, decisiveness and ability to work in fast-paced environmentFluent with Microsoft Office and Google programsMust be detail-oriented, process-driven, self-motivated and able to manage time wellTeam player focused on building a positive cultureSense of ownership and pride in your performancePrepare digital and print graphics files for internal review and productionKnowledge of print production and vendor managementExperience in typography, web design, CMS platforms, social media platforms and email marketingPhysical Requirements
Candidates must be able to travel and meet with clients in person and via conference / video call as needed and be present on-site at the agency’s office in Daphne, Alabama 3-4 days per week.
