Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated home health aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and a strong understanding of patient care practices, including memory care and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to enhance their quality of life.
- Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities, including lifting and transferring clients as needed.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining client confidentiality at all times.
- Help clients manage medications according to prescribed schedules.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical stimulation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as necessary.
Requirements
Tuberculosis test (had within last 12 months)Up-to-date physical (had within last 12 months)Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care practices is essential.Familiarity with memory care techniques and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.Ability to lift and assist clients safely while adhering to proper lifting techniques.Strong observational skills to monitor client health and report changes effectively.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams.Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
