Description : Job summary :

The Housekeeper is committed in ensuring that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner, serving the residents to our fullest capacity while enhancing an independent lifestyle throughout all levels of care.

Job duties :

• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
• Empty and sanitize trash cans where appropriate.
• Clean / polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating / cooling units, etc., in resident rooms, recreation areas, etc., daily or as instructed.
• Clean, sanitize / disinfect, and polish bathroom fixtures.
• Clean windows / mirrors in resident rooms, recreation areas, bathrooms and entrance / exit ways daily or as assigned.
• Clean floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp / wet mopping, disinfecting, in addition to cleaning carpets by vacuuming, spot cleaning, deodorizing, extracting, and dry cleaning.
• Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, etc.
• Remove dirt, dust, grime, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning / disinfecting solutions.
• Clean hallways, stairs, and elevators as assigned.
• Discard waste / trash into proper receptacles, and re-line trash basket with correct sized liner
• Clean vacant rooms as assigned. (Daily in HC / weekly in other areas)
• Perform terminal cleaning procedures, as instructed, when a resident is discharged, and / or transferred to another room / area.
• Performs other duties as assigned
