Ready Mixed Truck Driver CDL A or B

Vitale Ready Mix Concrete Driver

Drivers will be responsible for the safe operation of company mixer trucks, to include loading, unloading, and cleaning (includes barrel chipping if qualified). Deliver quality product to the customer in an efficient, timely and professional manner. Drives truck under loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water and start mixer. Drives truck to location for unloading. Moves levers on truck to release concrete down truck chute into wheelbarrow or other conveying container or directly into area to be poured with concrete. Cleans truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on trucks. Sprays surfaces of truck with protective compound to prevent adhering of concrete. Assembles cement chute. Traveling to other plant locations. Misc. projects helping around the yard as needed. May operate loader. Work within all safety procedures. Comply with all company policies. Complete delivery ticket with necessary information.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Preferably driven offroad equipment, log truck, concrete mixer and / or boom truck. Education and Experience : Six months to one year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills : Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with I(Ys and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Able to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.

Must have a valid CDL clean license DOT Medical Card current while employed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently may be required to walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee may regularly lift and / or move up to 65 to 85 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly exposed to dust or dirt particles and other outside weather conditions. The employee may be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
