About The Position

Job Title : Cath Lab Tech

Shift : 10 Hour Days

Hours per Shift : 40

Experience : Minimum of 2 years with coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral experience

License : Required certifications include Cath Lab Tech, BLS, ACLS, RT or equivalent, or RCIS

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, RT or equivalent, RCIS

Must-Have :

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with coronary, complex PCI, and peripheral cases
• Ability to perform table movement (panning)
• Arrhythmia recognition and treatment
• Critical patient assessment skills
• Experience with complex total occlusions, diagnostic Cath procedures, valvular disease, renal disease, carotid stenosis, limb salvage, peripheral stenosis, thrombosis disease, Impella insertion, and LVAD insertions

Description :

The unit consists of 2 Cath labs and 2 Hybrid peripheral / OR.

Travelers must live 100 miles away from the facility.

Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as travelers.

Patient types include those with coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, diagnostic Cath procedures, valvular disease, renal disease, carotid stenosis, limb salvage, peripheral stenosis, and thrombosis disease.

Patient ratio is 1 RN to 1 patient.

Travelers will not have to float to other departments, as they are separate.

Charting systems include EPIC, with EPIC Cupid preferred.

Weekend rotation will be every 4th weekend.

On-call duty is required for 1-2 days per week from 1630-0600 and every 4th weekend from 1630 Friday to 0600 Monday.

Holiday expectations may include working 1 per assignment.

Time off requests must go through the manager.

Scrub colors are procedural and provided.
