Description : I. POSITION PURPOSE
- Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of restaurant production to include, but not limited to all menu items supplied by outlet kitchen
 
II. ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate work and follow through with assigned tasksSeason and prepare a wide variety of foods such as vegetables, fruits, meats, soups, salads, starches, grains and cereals in accordance with prescribed recipesSlice, grind, chop and cook meats and vegetables using a full range of cooking methods and test foods being cooked for quality, taste and appearanceCarve and display meats, vegetables, fruits and salads and replenish buffet items as necessaryAbility to follow recipes, to increase or decrease recipe as neededMaintain clean, neat and organized work areas, utensils and equipmentClean cooking utensils, grills, fryers, ovens, sinks, tabletop and other kitchen equipment and maintain sanitation, health and safety issues in the work areaMaintain and strictly abide by state sanitation / health regulationsAttend to day-to-day problems and needs concerning food supplies and equipment and report to the supervisor any unusual problems with supplies, equipment or working conditionsEnsure proper labeling, rotation and freshness of all food items and dispose of and record all spoiled or unattractive foodsMay be required to prepare special items according to prescribed request by a memberOther duties as assignedRequirements :
III. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Good knife skillsHigh school diploma or GED; Culinary degree or Accredited certification preferred3 years of experience in culinary fieldHave or ability to obtain food handling certificationAbility to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracyKnowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques and quality standardsAbility to interact with all departments and members professionally and courteouslyAbility to ensure quality assurance programs in areas of responsibilityAbility to work in a fast paced, hot and sometimes stressful environment with a professional demeanorAbility to organize and set up workstation quickly and efficientlyPhysical Demands and Work Environment
Must be able to sit, walk, squat, climb, reach, bend, stoop, twist, stand, clean and lift up to 40 poundsMust be able to handle hot and cold interior and exterior conditions and exposure to dust, fumes or gasesMust be able to work within proximity to moving machineryIndependent mobility
