Hiring : Permanent Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Internal Medicine Clinic (Days)

Location : North Memorial Health – Maple Grove Clinic (Internal Medicine) | Maple Grove, MN

Schedule : Monday–Friday | Day Shift (7 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM, variable) | Biweekly pay period.

Start Date : Nov 27, 2025(tentative)

Employment Type : Permanent | Full-Time

Compensation : $22.23 – $27.37 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

North Memorial Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join the Internal Medicine team at its Maple Grove Clinic . This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient clinic operations by supporting providers, coordinating patient care, and maintaining exceptional service standards. The CMA will perform both clinical and administrative duties to help deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient rooming, obtain vitals, administer immunizations, injections, and medications as ordered.
  • Assist with lab specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and basic x-rays (if certified).
  • Support providers and nursing staff in managing patient flow and communication.
  • Manage prescription refills, prior authorizations, and EMR documentation accurately.
  • Provide front desk assistance, check-in / out support, and maintain supply inventory.
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinic leadership to promote efficiency and quality of care.

Qualifications

Education : Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (ABHES or CAAHEP).

Experience : Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a clinic or outpatient healthcare setting.

Certification : Current BLS (AHA) certification required.

Skills :

  • Proficient in EMR systems and clinical documentation.
  • Strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred :

  • Prior experience in Internal Medicine or Family Practice settings.
  • Familiarity with patient scheduling, medication management, and care coordination.
