Science Intern

This position will be part of a dynamic team of scientists engaged in a wide range of projects providing office-based services in a wide range of environmental cleanup, land development, water resources, and utility disciplines.

Your Role :

The Science Intern will support the Project Managers with planning and project execution for a variety of municipal, state, and federal clients throughout Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region. The individual will assist in planning environmental / remediation and design projects, performing cost calculations to support remediation and construction projects, collecting data at project job sites, report writing, permitting, and other aspects of our projects. Major duties / responsibilities of the position include :

• Working with a project team to support a variety of government and commercial projects.
• Participating in report writing, calculations, presentations, and design for a variety of environmental, land development and water resources projects.
• Participating in feasibility studies, writing reports, editing specifications, and editing technical memoranda.
• Participating in the preparation of geographic information systems databases, design drawings, calculations, modeling, and regulatory permitting.
• Effectively communicate and coordinate with project managers, subconsultants and other project team members and disciplines.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
