Job Summary
Work in a challenging but rewarding environment with like-minded, mission-oriented team members. The candidate needs to possess strong clinical and communication skills and be highly accountable. This person provides high quality care for individuals housed in the Harris County Jail. Responsibilities include performing intake health assessments, managing urgent care issues, identifying and treating chronic care illnesses, and collaborating with advanced practice practitioners. Work in conjunction with Harris County Sheriff Office deputies and with nursing staff, and on-site services such as radiology, pharmacy, nutrition, dental, and laboratory services. May require communication with the Harris Health Transfer Center or other local hospitals if patients require a higher level of care. Ensure organizational compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
