Work Schedule : Enjoy evening shifts with 8 or 10-hour options, Monday through Friday. Be ready for occasional on-call, primarily overnight, contributing to a rewarding experience in patient care.
Your Major Responsibilities Include :
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient operating room, utilizing aseptic techniques.
- Preparing surgical materials, assisting with instrumentation, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
- Ensuring the disinfection and safety of the operating room and associated equipment.
- Acting as a Second Assistant as necessary and notifying staff of any equipment or supply issues.
- Transporting patients, equipment, and supplies while ensuring their safety.
- Demonstrating knowledge and skills specific to the age and needs of patients.
Qualifications :
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers within six months of employment.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- No prior experience required.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to lift and carry various weights, push / pull equipment, and respond to the fast-paced environment of an operating room.
- Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). Previous exposure to hazards such as mechanical, electrical, chemical, and blood is common.
