  • Position Summary The Deli Slicer is responsible for slicing, weighing, packaging, and displaying a variety of deli meats and cheeses while providing friendly and efficient service to customers.
  • This position plays an important role in creating a positive shopping experience and maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and cleanliness.
  • Responsibilities Greet every customer with a friendly smile.
  • Slice, weigh, and package deli meats, cheeses, and specialty products accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and taking special orders.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked deli case and work area.
  • Rotate products to ensure freshness and follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Properly operate deli slicing equipment and follow all safety guidelines.
  • Work as part of a team to meet department goals and support other areas as needed.
  • Qualifications Previous deli, grocery, or food service experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable using slicers and other food prep equipment.
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
