Circulating Nurse

Position Summary

This Operating Room RN role is focused on transplant surgeries, including liver, heart, lung, and kidney procedures. The nurse will assist in full transplant casesnot just organ harvestingand must be proficient in advanced surgical technologies such as Misonix / CUSA. The position requires a high level of expertise and flexibility, including on-call responsibilities and participation in teaching activities.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in transplant surgeries, ensuring sterile field integrity and proper instrumentation.

Participate in liver transplant call; support other surgical cases when transplant cases are not scheduled.

Demonstrate proficiency in Misonix / CUSA equipment.

Provide direct support in organ implantation procedures.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in teaching / training activities.

Maintain compliance with EPIC charting and hospital protocols.

Participate in on-call rotation : 1 shift / week + two 12-hour weekend shifts / month.

Float within scope as needed to meet facility demands.

Experience :

Minimum 2 years of direct transplant OR RN experience (liver, heart, lung, kidney).

Must be reflected on skills checklist.

Certifications :

ACLS and BLS (required at submission)

NIHSS (must be obtained prior to start)

Licensure :

Active RN license (pending license accepted)

Technology :

EPIC charting experience preferred

Proficiency in Misonix / CUSA required

• Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
