This opportunity plays a crucial role in developing and launching first-of-its kind cutting-edge medical device technologies and digital experiences. You will partner with the executive leadership team as we develop, refine and execute our strategy for short and long-term growth. You will help develop and drive inorganic growth strategies to help accelerate the company's mission and vision. Develop and implement a business development and partnerships strategy that deeply integrates Abbott's HF devices into clinician digital workflows and patients' digital lives. Lead, direct, and control all business development activities to position Abbott as the partner of choice in heart failure management.
What You'll Work On
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage the most complex or strategically important business opportunities across capital, cloud and AI, that will contribute to the organization's short and long-term business goals.
- Evaluate the findings of market research, conduct hands on reviews of hospital and clinic IT systems, assess prospects for Abbott integration, and present recommendations to top executives or the Board.
- Establish high-level, significant relationships with potential clients, partners, key decision-makers, and industry leaders to identify and pitch win-win opportunities.
- Lead the most important, complex, controversial or difficult meetings and negotiations with potential clients and business partners to pursue business opportunities and protect the organization's business interests.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to expand market presence and drive growth within the Abbott Heart Failure franchise and enable heart failure patients to lead fuller lives.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape, ensuring the franchise remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and clinical development, to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.
- Effectively influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive initiatives and achieve business goals, even without direct authority.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's DegreeMinimum of 8 years of experienceTrack record of evaluating, negotiating and establishing B2B partnerships and alliances in healthcareFamiliarity with key elements of the hospital and clinician digital ecosystem such as Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and Electronic Health Records (EHRs)Familiarity with key elements of the digital ecosystem that patients use to manage their chronic diseasesExceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical abilitiesExcellent people leader, skilled at developing and retaining top talentStrong financial modeling skillsAbility to influence executive level stakeholders and present strategic recommendationsTravel : Willingness to travel 30%Preferred Qualifications
