Well established Ophthalmology practice in Washington PA now hiring for an Ophthalmic technician that will support our high-volume practice. We focuses on providing quality and compassionate care to each patient needing complete eye care services from exam to eyewear.
Responsibilities :
This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.
Ophthalmic skills include :
- Obtaining and documenting patient history
- Performs accurate ophthalmic procedures and testing (auto-refraction; visual acuity; measure and record glasses; tonometry; pupils; dilate; HRT; VF; pachymeter; corneal topography; OCT, keratometry; confrontation fields
- Performing automated refraction using Topcon System
- Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician
- Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into charts
- Providing patient services
