Experience in central line care and management is also necessary. Candidates must be skilled in interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias. Knowledge of IV insulin protocols and management of cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration is required. Candidates should be able to assist with respiratory support, including high flow nasal cannula and CPAP / BIPAP management. Experience with telemetry monitoring, both on-unit and remote, is essential. The RN will manage patients across various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. There will be an average daily census of 35 patients, and the unit consists of 38 beds. The RN should have experience in wound care and wound vac management. Participation in rapid response and code teams is required. Candidates should possess strong clinical skills and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. All applicants must pass a mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including tests for marijuana. A positive result will lead to automatic cancellation of the contract.
