About The Position

Job Title : PreOp / PACU RN

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : Day shift

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (05 : 00 - 17 : 30)

Experience : Minimum of 2 years required, Pre / Postoperative experience required

License : Valid compact or state license required

Certifications : BLS required, ACLS preferred

Must-Have :

• Epic experience required
• Previous Charge experience preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Patient ratio experience of 1 : 1

Description :

The position involves working in the PreOp / PACU unit.

Shifts rotate between earlier and later start times.

Call is included, with weekend call every third weekend.

The RN will care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Some procedures include CABG, AAA repair, TAVR, and vascular surgeries.

Patients typically have a daily census of six.

Interdisciplinary support will be available, including physical therapy and respiratory services.

The RN will need to manage various tasks including medication administration, patient assessments, and airway management.

Strong skills in patient monitoring and emergency response are required.

This role requires collaboration with a variety of healthcare professionals.

Candidates must demonstrate expertise in managing surgical patients in a fast-paced environment.

The nursing ratio during the day shift is 1 : 1.
