As a Security Officer - Airport Patrol in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a government location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting regular patrols, assisting visitors, and providing exceptional customer service while utilizing technology such as computers or tablets. Pay Rate : $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Wed 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Thur 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Fri 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Sat 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Sun 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and / or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal protocols and site instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including building interiors, exteriors, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and observe for any unusual or suspicious behavior, reporting concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of activities, incidents, and observations during each shift according to site and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and / or employees, providing assistance and direction as needed.
  • Support emergency response procedures as directed, including assisting with evacuations and coordinating with onsite personnel or first responders.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Ability to lift up to and / or more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
