Presbyterian Village North has an immediate, amazing opening for a Community Life Manager with our Independent Living Seniors! Engage your team to keep up with the active lives of our residents and watch us grow!Hours / Schedule : Monday - Friday 9 : 00 - 5 : 30 typically; Opportunities to work weekend and evening hours as needed (i.e., special events, outings).The Community Life Manager (CLM) is responsible for providing overall comprehensive care to assure that the people being supported thrive through coordination of medical, social, financial, religious, recreational, work, housing, employment, or day services. RESPONSIBILITIES : \tModels a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients, and co-workers\tEnsure resident / patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards\tMaintain good attendance record Develop, organize and implement a program of activities for the social, emotional, physical, and other therapeutic needs of the residents within a specified budget\tPlan and schedule the work of Community Life staff and work as a team member to assist with accomplishing departmental tasks (i.e., lead activities as required)\tAssist with developing and maintaining an active volunteer program\tWork to recruit, hire, train and provide leadership and direction to departmental staff (i.e. corrective actions, performance evaluations, in-services)\tAttend meetings as assigned \tAssist with driving company transportation as needed (in-house and outside)\tOther duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
High school diploma or GED
Activity Director certification from an approved course as required by the state of Texas preferred
Two or more years of supervisory / management experience required
Strong computer skills / experience required, (MS Office products, calendar software, presentation software)
One year minimum working in a long-term care activity program required
Working knowledge of activities for senior adults
Excellent creative and communication skills
Ability to organize, document and implement detailed programs
Outstanding interpersonal skills with a high level of enthusiasm and energy
Ability to read and write the English language
Ability to perform Essential Duties
Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, persons with disabilities, and hospice patients
Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
