General Summary of Duties :

  • Responsible for cash management, accounts payable, vendor management, processing patient refunds, check / credit card / ACH processing and on time payments.
  • Performs routine accounting activities such as data entry, maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports.
  • Reviews codes and verifies transactions and journal entries.
  • Completes moderately complex calculations using spreadsheets and other software tools.
  • Reconciles all accounts and bank statements. May also process accounts

payable and receivable transactions.

  • Represents organization as both advocate and liaison between clinics, physicians, staff, and administration.
  • Assists with running monthly reports for data analytics and evaluation of metric trends.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned to include monthly reports.
  • Supports and upholds established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, and codes and requirements of and regulatory agencies.
  • All other duties as assigned by Controller.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

    Experience : Minimum of one-year accounting and cash management experience, preferably in a health care organization.

    Knowledge :

    1. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type correspondence.

    2. Has a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

    3. Must demonstrate current competencies applicable to the job position.

    Skills :

    1. Skill in computer programs, spreadsheets and applications.

    2. Skill in using a calculator.

    3. Skill in typing 40 wpm.

    Abilities :

    1. Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations.

    2. Ability to prepare documents in response to complaints and inquiries.

    3. Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.

    4. Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction.

    5. Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetical or numeric system.

    6. Ability to communicate effectively and work with others.
