Location
Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job Summary
The individual filling this position will be responsible for the identification of field sites for all candidates enrolled in programs in the Educator Preparation Program that require placements.The Director will be responsible for candidates' assignments to specific and appropriate field placements, maintaining documentation chronicling the characteristics of those sites required by the Educator Preparation Program's external accrediting bodies. Duties also include working with the campus liaisons to coordinate the identification and placement of candidates at off-campus location in Cairo, Georgia. The Director will also coordinate with the Practicum Instructor for the three cohort practicum courses.
Additionally, this individual will be responsible for coordinating the evaluation of candidates while in their field placements, training cooperating partners on the most effective strategies for implementing assessments and coordinating and conducting supervision of candidates in placement settings for the Department of Teacher Education.

Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Specialist degree in Teacher Education or a related field.
A minimum of three years of professional experience in the field of education.
Minimum of five years¿ experience in P-12 schools, in the state of Georgia.
Familiarity with computers, the use of web-based software packages like Microsoft Office, LiveText, and Desire to Learn.
Preferred Qualifications
Hold education endorsements in areas such as Reading Endorsement, Coaching Endorsement, and Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling.
Experience as an Instructional Coach or Instructional Leader. Experience in teaching in higher education and supervising students in field placements; experience with accreditation, program evaluation or related experience.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of campus constituencies to promote continuous program improvement.
