Safety Investigator

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Safety Investigator to join our team and lead the charge in managing global product compliance activities.

This role is pivotal in protecting our customers, brand reputation, and ensuring every International product on the road operates safely and responsibly. Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into product issues involving International trucks and engines, managing multiple cases concurrently.
• Serve as the primary interface with global government safety and compliance agencies (e.g., NHTSA, Transport Canada) on product-related matters.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to manage product failure investigations from initial awareness through to field remedy release.
• Ensure compliance with FMVSS, CMVSS, and other global regulatory standards.
• Develop and enforce a "due care" program in production plants to maintain ongoing compliance.
• Manage field campaign planning, implementation, and customer / dealer communications.
• Monitor and interpret new government regulations and lead the company's strategic response.
• Drive reduction in corporate exposure to recalls, litigation, and civil penalties.
• Perform audits and inspections related to safety compliance procedures across all plants.
• Support the Product Safety Committee and follow up on related assignments.
