Overview
Venice Family Clinic is a leader in providing comprehensive, high-quality health care to people in need. The organization has more than 500 staff who serve 45,000 people across an area from the Santa Monica Mountains through the South Bay. The clinic network includes Early Head Start centers, mobile clinics, and an extensive street medicine program that reaches people experiencing homelessness.
Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral and mental health expertise as part of the clinic staff under the Director of Behavioral Health.
- Collaborate with all clinic departments, including staff clinicians, the SUMMIT harm‑reduction substance use program, and other psychiatric staff such as nurse practitioners.
- Offer counseling, individual and group therapy, and psychiatric care for mild to moderate mental illnesses.
- Act as the bridge for creating collaborative and comprehensive care for patients with significant mental health challenges.
- Provide clinical oversight and consultation to psychiatry residents from UCLA and VAH, and to psychiatric nurse practitioners.
- Maintain flexibility in work location and in days and hours for clinical care.
Qualifications
