Job Summary :

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of the business relationship for the designated strategic accounts assigned and its profitable growth. This includes the penetration of the accounts, associated divisions, and Subcontractors.

This role reports to the Director, Strategic Accounts and will be based remotely.

The principal responsibilities below are intended to describe the nature and level of work to be performed by the Strategic Account Manager. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all specific tasks and duties required by each person assigned this job title. Employees may be required to perform other duties as circumstances dictate.

We are seeking a talented Strategic Account Manager to join our team. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for the following :

Responsibilities :

Sales Management

  • Manage all aspects of the business relationships at assigned accounts to insure a profitable partnership for the Company.
  • Development of New Business to achieve organic sales growth and maintain a robust funnel of new opportunities within Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
  • Achievement of Gross Margin Objectives to ensure that accounts remain financially healthy. Understands financial aspects of the account, i.e. – RONA. Work closely with Strategic Pricing and Business Analytics department to ensure market competitive pricing.
  • Resolution of Obsolete / Excess material.
  • Support all activities associated with the collection of A / R.
  • Manages and knowledgeable of all contractual agreements.
  • Owns the customer relationship for the company. Thoroughly knowledgeable of all key personnel and decision makers within assigned accounts – both horizontal and vertical.
  • Manage and coordinate communication to ensure timely and effective inter-departmental support for opportunities identified.
  • Understands internal escalation process to address all business issues to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Provide on a timely basis appropriate administrative reports regarding but not limited to, customer visits, project updates, forecasts, and competitive information.

Commercial Leadership

  • Develop and own commercial strategy for assigned accounts.
  • Maintain significant relationships with key personnel responsible for making supplier decisions as well as those who would influence a supplier change throughout an organization.
  • Effectively interface with a wide range of disciplines with customer at the local and corporate level to senior executives, procurement managers, engineering personnel, plant managers, and operational managers.
  • Conducts regular Quarterly Business Reviews with all assigned accounts.
  • Must Haves :

  • The ability to demonstrate sales proficiency with a proven track record of managing and maintaining successful sales processes.
  • Must possess excellent organizational, presentation and negotiating skills.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50%.
  • You must possess a valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test.
  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 – 10 years of Industrial market experience.
