Our Life Sciences Consulting Services helps clients balance protecting the business with driving measurable value in the R&D lifecycle, including discovery, pre-clinical, clinical, translational, and post-market surveillance / real-world evidence in life sciences and healthcare settings. This senior role will support and lead client engagements, build solutions, and innovate in the market.

What You Will Do

  • Support and lead client engagements in life sciences and health domains, focusing on strategic planning, business transformation, organizational structure and operating model optimization, clinical trial acceleration, complex data analytics, research compliance, regulatory affairs, and technology implementation support.
  • Collaborate with large pharma, biotechnology, academic medical centers, health systems, cancer centers, and other organizations as part of EY's life sciences practice.
  • Work with client engagement teams to deliver professional services and drive value for clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, health, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in management consulting in life sciences and / or health, or direct industry experience in an R&D setting (e.g., pharma, biotech, CRO, academic medical center, cancer centers).
  • Working knowledge of key R&D functions including preclinical research, clinical trial execution / development, regulatory affairs, and quality or safety functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to apply structured consulting methods to complex business challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex issues for senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with core business tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Executive presence and professionalism in client-facing settings; ability to engage with senior stakeholders (C-Suite, VPs, functional heads).
  • Willingness to travel based on project requirements and client needs.

    • Preferred / Ideally, You'll Also Have

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) in life sciences, business, public health, or related discipline.
  • Prior R&D / clinical trials / clinical development consulting experience.
  • Experience supporting R&D transformations, operating model design, or process optimization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (GxP, ICH, FDA) and compliance in R&D environments.
  • Experience with CTMS and other tools used in R&D and clinical development.
