Event Coordinator, Private Dining
Restaurant : Joe Muer Seafood (Fine Dining) Location : Detroit, MI Employment Type : Full-time (Primarily M-F Mornings)
The Role
Joe Muer Seafood seeks an organized and professional Event Coordinator to manage the full booking and administrative planning cycle for private and semi-private dining events. This key role drives private dining revenue by efficiently handling client relations and sales during dedicated morning business hours (M-F), maintaining the high standards of a luxury fine-dining experience.
Core Responsibilities
The Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end event booking cycle . This includes monitoring phones and emails for inquiries, managing the sales pipeline from initial contact to contract, and converting leads into signed bookings . You will consult with clients on space, menus, and packages. Operationally, you will liaise directly with the Day Manager for staffing needs and communicate with the Host and FOH team to finalize seating, guest counts, and special requests. Meticulous record-keeping of all contracts, deposits, and client correspondence is mandatory.
