Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a full-time Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring a TX or compact RN license and specialized perinatal certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Recovery, and Nursery unit (LDRPN)
  • Night shift schedule from 7PM to 7AM
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2 for Labor & Delivery and 1 : 6 for Postpartum (3 moms / 3 babies)
  • Care for laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns
  • Full-time employment
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum continuum
  • Perform medication and treatment administration per established protocols and monitor patient responses
  • Educate and support patients, families, and caregivers on perinatal and newborn care
  • Team structure includes support from designated preceptors for onboarding and competency validation
  • Completion of all initial and annual competency requirements is mandatory
  • All newly hired RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation and perinatal competency validation
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Holiday coverage and flexibility are expected

  • Active RN license in TX or compact state
  • Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications from AHA required
  • Current AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC C-EFM certification required
  • Current STABLE certification (Participant, Lead, or Support Instructor) required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery or perinatal nursing preferred
