Job descriptionOverseeing the medical care of patients receiving medication for addiction treatment within the Massachusetts Department of Correction (MA DOC) system. Evaluating patients, prescribing and adjusting medications, and monitoring treatment progress in accordance with state and federal regulations and best practices. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure individualized continuity of care and to support effective reentry planning. The Medical Director must be a Qualified Addiction Specialist in possession of a current M.D. or D.O. license. Previous experience in an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), custodial, or correctional setting is preferred. Current CPR / BLS certification preferred.
