Healthcare Job Details Assignment Type : Travel nursing, 13-week contract Location : Boone, North Carolina 28607 Setting : Medical Surgical Float Pool (may float between ICU, Intermediate, Stepdown, Med / Surg units) Shifts : 3x12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), weekdays and up to 2 weekends per month Start Date : December 15, 2025 End Date : March 16, 2026 Patient Ratios : Typically 1 : 5-6, depending on unit and acuity EMR : EPIC (recent experience required) Scrubs : All white or all navy Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1740 - $1860 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active North Carolina or Multistate RN license (current and valid for contract duration) Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience (travel nursing experience preferred) BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required; must be current) Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records Ability to float between ICU, Intermediate, Stepdown, and Med / Surg units as needed Flexible with floating and scheduling (blocked schedules considered upon request) Willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays during the contract Must reside at least 40 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted) COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Nursing Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations across multiple hospital units Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage individualized patient care plans Utilize isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Perform non-invasive airway management and oxygen therapy Manage peripheral lines and follow oxygen protocol management Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR system Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and respond to rapid response / code situations May float to CNA-level duties within RN scope of practice based on facility needs Experience the adventure and charm of Boone, NC, while making a difference as a Med / Surg Registered Nurse.
