Job descriptionPerform a variety of routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by the Supervisor / Manager / Director Responsible for ordering tests into the Laboratory and Hospital computer systems and documenting Lab receipt of specimens Collect patient specimens in accordance with test requirements and in a manner which is appropriate for the age and / or specific patient population served Collect blood samples for specific tests ensuring volume is adequate and correct tubes are utilized Education : High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience Certification : CPR-BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider AHA required and PBT (ASCP) certification preferred Experience : Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred Unique or Preferred Skills : Good communication and organization skills, moderate computer skills needed, reliable transportation to travel between sites required, strong customer service skills. Hourly Pay Range : $18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
