Manager, Technical Services
Job Description : This position is located in clients Yadkinville, NC Facility.

Responsibilities :
- Provides planning, direction, and coordination for all technical activities while achieving optimum use of workers, equipment, materials, and facilities
- Provides direct technical support or coordinates technical services to ensure line efficiencies, safety and environmental requirements are met
- Ensures preventative and predictive maintenance tasks and schedules are developed and followed for all relevant equipment
- Ensures equipment parts are stocked and maintained to support equipment repairs and preventative services
- Coordinates or provides technical training to technical staff including developing machine specific technical instructions
- Prepares and controls department annual expense budget, forecasts operating costs of department, and reporting of department budget results monthly
- Supports and initiates cost reduction activity
- Develops capital plan working with plant stakeholders and corporate engineering
- Maintains records of plant equipment including specifications, design rates, and constraints. Develop and maintain master plans to improve plant technologies, including making, packing, warehouse, facilities, utilities, and power and controls.
- Own the Utilities systems at the plant. Partner with Manufacturing to ensure proper maintenance of all utility equipment including the use of standards. Develop and maintain models for utility usage on the site based key drivers to ensure utility efficiency. (Natural Gas, Electric, Steam, Water, Compressed Air). Identify loss opportunities and methods to drive utility improvements & savings.
- Develops plans and establishes engineering schedules to meet or exceed plan
- Administers personnel functions including interviewing, hiring, performance evaluations, coaching and administering disciplinary action when required
- Follow all GMP’s and Safety Procedures
- May perform other duties as assigned
Experience, Skills, Education :
5+ years Management / Leadership experience leading engineering, maintenance and technical service groupsTechnical or Engineering degree preferredManagement / Leadership experience in high speed food processing / packagingDrive for results, challenge of status quo and independent thinkerProject managementDirect experience leading technical employeesExcellent communication skills and ability to lead and participate in cross functional teamsDetail oriented, analytical and well organizedAbility to develop, control and report on project management activitiesExperience in scheduling planned maintenance activitiesProven electrical and mechanical skillsPLC knowledge and experienceAbility to develop, control and report on department budgetsMicrosoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)AutoCAD
