Assistant Engineer

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Assistant Engineer working as a Hydraulics / Hydrology Engineer in our Water Resources’ Flood and Drainage group.  The position entails performing civil technical analyses, hydrologic / hydraulic modeling, project scheduling, site inspections, and construction cost estimating. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in flood control, hydrology, and climate resilience, and is driven, quick with learning tools and technology, and has a great “can-do” attitude.

This is a staffed, hourly, non-exempt position.

A day in the life as a Wood Rodgers' Assistant Engineer

• Performing as a member of an interdisciplinary modeling team managed by a Senior Level Project Engineer.
• Support field investigations and site assessments to understand existing drainage conditions and facilities.
• Preparing technical analyses for a wide array of projects in both the Private and Public sectors.
• Perform Hydrologic and Hydraulic Analyses in various software.
• Preparing Technical Reports, Map, and Presentations.

The range does not reflect geographic variations and may fluctuate above or below the stated amount. Offers will be based on several factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, training, and location. Base pay is just one part of the comprehensive compensation package offered by Wood Rodgers.
