Key Job Responsibilities
Pre-Deployment & Planning
- Collaborate with project managers, key account managers, and customer stakeholders to define scope and support pre-sales activities when required
- Conduct comprehensive site assessments to evaluate infrastructure, fleet compatibility, and network readiness.
- Develop detailed deployment strategies including software / IT requirements, logistics coordination, and risk mitigation
- Ensure all site access, qualifications, and certifications are current and maintained
System Installation, Configuration, & Upgrades
Execute deployments through installation and configuration of Komatsu's technology suite (Dispatch, Provision, MineCare, Argus, Pegasys, Mine 4D, Mine Platform, etc.)Complete system upgrades with customers, including gap analysis, functionality testing, and validation.Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure systems meet operational requirementsTroubleshoot networks, wireless communications, and Komatsu applications using SQL, Forms, and Unix / Linux Shell scriptingAssist with the installation and configuration of Komatsu's Mine Platform solution, including both hardware and software componentsSupport regional training teams in delivering technical training to operators, maintenance personnel, and IT staffProvide site-specific documentation (SOPs, troubleshooting guides)Participate in change management and adoption strategies to ensure successful transition to operational useDemonstrate successful handover of projects to the Support team, ensuring system stability and customer readinessPost-Deployment Support
Deliver on-site and remote support during stabilization phasesMonitor system performance and address technical issues promptlyCollaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve complex challengesAssist software support teams with ticket triage, documentation updates, and system monitoring during low deployment activity perioContinuous Improvement & Collaboration
Collect and analyze feedback from site teams to improve deployment methodologies and inform product enhancementsIdentify opportunities for system optimization and additional value deliveryContribute to internal knowledge bases, deployment playbooks, and best practicesCollaborate across business units to achieve goals, maintaining compliance with corporate project processes, safety policies, and customer site requirementsQualifications / Requirements
3+ years' experience in IT, engineering, or application support.Intermediate computer skills with knowledge of SQL scripting languages, and Komatsu products or similar applications.Strong technical acumen in mining technology systems, infrastructure, and operations.Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to manage complex deployments in dynamic environments.Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.Additional Information
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related discipline preferredProven experience deploying Komatsu or comparable mining technology solutions.Direct experience working in or supporting the mining industry.Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices.Experience working with Linux, Docker, and KubernetesFluency in Spanish or additional languages for multilingual environments.Hiring Range
