Position Summary
As a Volunteer Digital Marketing Specialist, you will play a key role in expanding the Observatorys reach, engagement, and impact across digital platforms. Youll help develop and execute digital marketing strategies that drive awareness, grow our audience, and promote our knowledge-driven initiatives. Responsibilities
Develop and implement digital campaigns to increase awareness, readership, and engagement
Manage and grow the Observatorys presence on social media platforms
Execute comment marketing campaigns to engage with various audiences and promote specific articles that would be interesting to particular groups / topic channels (e.g., Reddit, Discord, Quora, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)
Collaborate with editors and subject experts to promote newly published content
Analyze performance data to refine outreach strategies
Assist with SEO and content marketing efforts to boost visibility
Support email marketing initiatives and newsletter campaigns
Qualifications
Experience in digital marketing, social media strategy, or content promotion
Strong communication skills and the ability to distill complex ideas into compelling messaging
Passion for public education, knowledge-sharing, and global issues
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Commitment to the Observatorys mission and values
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Canva, Hootsuite, or similar
