Location : Rochester, NY 14642 – Prime location for New York nursing jobs, close to Lake Ontario, cultural attractions, and excellent dining.

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit : Level II Med / Surg Float – Gain experience across multiple medical-surgical specialties.

Start Date : January 20, 2026

End Date : April 18, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Hours per Week : 36

Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (Days / Evenings / Nights), every other weekend, holidays / on-call / callback / charge as needed

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2130 - $2190

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active New York State RN license (required for all New York healthcare jobs)

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg nursing experience

Telemetry experience required

BLS certification (American Heart Association only)

Ability to commit to the full 13-week travel nursing assignment

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients in various Med / Surg units

Float between units including trauma, general surgery, neuro musculoskeletal, acute care medicine, solid organ transplant, rehabilitation, neurology, orthopedics, and neurosurgery

Monitor and interpret telemetry readings for patient safety

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Serve as charge nurse, preceptor, or committee member as needed

Demonstrate service excellence, participate in ongoing professional development, and apply evidence-based nursing practice
