Description
The Senior Programmer will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying the software that drives our interactive and immersive experiences. This position requires a unique balance of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and live event production awareness.
In this role, you will architect and implement software systems that support complex installations, interactive environments, and experiential designs. You will lead projects from initial concept through to final delivery, collaborating closely with creative, production, and technology teams, as well as clients and vendors. Beyond development, you will be onsite during activations, overseeing technical integration, troubleshooting in real time, and ensuring flawless execution in high-pressure environments.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on bringing ambitious ideas to life, enjoys hands-on involvement in live productions, and can seamlessly bridge the gap between creative vision and practical implementation.
Tasks and Responsibilities
In the Studio
- Lead the technical design and implementation of creative projects, working closely on cross-functional teams and delegating tasks to other programmers to transform concepts into reality
- Architect and develop software solutions across various technology stacks, always with an eye toward the right balance of code elegance and practical delivery
- Mentor junior programmers, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow their skills
- Contribute to our team's technical standards and best practices, while staying current with emerging technologies
- Create and maintain clear documentation and site-plans, ensuring your solutions can be understood and supported by the wider team
On Location / Project Activation

Proficiency in Python, with the ability to design, build, and optimize software systems for interactive and immersive experiences3+ years of hands-on TouchDesigner experience (required), including the development and deployment of real-time interactive installations, generative visual content, and complex control systemsFamiliarity with modern web stacks and architecture, including APIs, client–server communication, and frameworks that support integration of interactive front-end and back-end systemsExperience with Generative AI tools and frameworks (highly desirable) — while not required, exposure to AI-driven workflows and creative coding is a strong asset for pushing the boundaries of experiential designKnowledge of Audio / Visual Integration (highly desirable), including projection mapping, media servers, signal flow, and synchronization between hardware and software in live production environmentsStrong understanding of interactive systems, real-time content pipelines, and cross-platform integration, with the adaptability to experiment with new technologies quicklyA passion for innovation and creative problem-solving, bringing technical curiosity and resourcefulness to complex experiential challengesPosition Details
