Job Title : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Location : Haywood Regional Medical Center, Clyde, NC Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM Employment Type : Travel Contract

Position Overview : Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Travel RN to join the Progressive Care Unit for night shift coverage. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience in step-down or ICU settings and be committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and treatment
  • Perform assessments, administer medications, and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes with appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
  • Support patient and family education regarding treatment and recovery

    • Qualifications :

  • Required Education : Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Required Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Years of Experience : Minimum of 2 years in a step-down or ICU setting
  • Must Have Skills / Experience : Proven competency in progressive care or critical care environments
  • Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
