Job Description :

Join the dedicated team at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital as a Registered Nurse in our Medical-Surgical unit. In this crucial role, you will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans for your patients. Your vigilant monitoring and assessment skills will ensure patients progress towards their health goals, and you will play an active part in discharge planning to facilitate a smooth transition for patients leaving the hospital.

Your responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments within regulated timelines, identifying barriers to effective care, and adjusting care plans as needed. You will promote patient-centered care by integrating behavioral health, long-term support services, and community resources to ensure continuity of care. Regular communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team is essential to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

Proficiency with MS Office, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), internet applications, and other standard office equipment

Adaptability to work beyond standard hours, including weekends and after-hours shifts, with on-call availability as needed

Preferred Education & Experience :

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)

Minimum of 2 years of acute care hospital experience as a case manager

Previous utilization review experience is required

Montana Registered Nurse License (Must be current)

American Heart Association BLS Certification (Must be current)

Licensing & Certification Requirements :

Montana Registered Nurse License (Active and in good standing)

American Heart Association BLS Certification (Current and valid)

Compensation & Benefits :

Weekly stipend : $1,792.00

Weekly taxable pay : $2,559.48

This position offers a competitive stipend and the opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience in a reputable hospital setting.

Schedule & Contract Details :

Shift hours : 07 : 30 AM – 04 : 30 PM

Weekends and rotations included

Contract duration : 13 weeks

The facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts per 13-week period due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.

Additional Requirements :

Candidates must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered.

Immediate start preferred, with the assignment beginning on or around October 29, 2025.
