Opportunity

We are seeking a Power Line / Power Utility Engineer for our Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice in Austin, TX . You will work within a team to apply electrical engineering principles and investigative techniques to solve complex technical problems, interacting with clients, managers, engineers, and legal professionals. Continuous professional development is encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical engineering analyses related to ongoing projects
  • Prepare technical proposals, pursue business opportunities, and perform analyses on medium and high voltage energy systems
  • Perform risk and design analysis, experimental testing, and failure analysis of electrical equipment
  • Assess test results, develop testing protocols, and document findings

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in teams
  • Knowledge of circuits, electronics, control systems; energy and power systems experience is a plus
