• Experience in a free-standing emergency room or Critical Access Hospital
• Proficient in drawing and analyzing ABGs
• Ability to perform EKGs, breathing treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilator management
• Experience with Epic

Description :

The department provides respiratory therapy services in a fast-paced environment.

Technicians will handle treatments for a variety of patients, including adults, pediatrics, and neonates.

There are typically 14 beds in the emergency department.

Responsibilities include drawing and analyzing ABGs, performing EKGs, and administering breathing treatments.

The respiratory therapist will assist physicians with intubation as needed.

Technicians may support emergency room staff during downtime by bringing patients back, taking vital signs, and assisting with blood and urine collections.

Weekend shifts are required, typically every other weekend as part of a repeating schedule.

Holidays will also be required if they fall within the scheduled pattern.

Therapists will be part of a core staff that sets the schedule, and may also occasionally float to other facilities as needed.

Support personnel will be available 24 / 7 in the emergency department.

Orientation will be provided based on the experience of the individual therapist.
