School Repairs and Maintenance Staff

IvyCrest Montessori Private School in Fullerton is looking for a person to assist our School Caretaker / Cook with the daily operations of our school facilities. The ideal candidate would be friendly and respectful to our children and parents with the ability to help provide for a clean and safe facility environment. Experience and knowledge of various cleaning methods, maintenance and repairs, painting and landscaping experience is preferred. Basic experience with office and audio-visual equipment, and vehicle maintenance is desirable as well.

Responsibilities

• Assist team members with daily traffic control in the mornings and afternoons.
• Walk through the Fullerton campus daily, check for cleanliness and safety hazards and make corrections as needed.
• Maintain emergency response inventories and monitor cleaning supply inventories.
• Deliver school lunch to the Yorba Linda campus daily. Walk through the campus, check for cleanliness and safety hazards and make corrections as needed.
• Wash school van, clean interior and perform safety check weekly. Cover van on Fridays after final use.
• Clean the Kendor Hall and Midway Patio eating areas after lunch and afternoon snack. Take out trash and machine wash cleaning rags.
• Assist with set up for school events according to the current school year calendar.
• Process requests for maintenance and repair as directed.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Valid California Driver’s license with good driving record.

Livescan and TB test must be completed upon offer of employment. MMR and TDap vaccines are required (State Licensing Requirement).

Proven experience and ability to make basic repairs or new installations to electrical, plumbing and lighting fixtures.

Experience using proper tools for various jobs.

Ability to read instructions, manuals and drawings.

Very good communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical stamina and dexterity.

Typical schedule will be an 8 hour shift between 7am-6pm but sometimes might require early, late or weekend hours as needed.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours : No less than 40 per week
