Large Loss Claims Specialist

Energy claims can be very complex. They require the right balance of knowledge and skills. In claims, experience matters. In Energy claims, experience is essential. As a Large Loss Claims Specialist, you will manage complex, high-exposure primary and excess claims involving commercial general liability, commercial excess auto, contractors pollution liability and / or professional liability coverage forms. You will be responsible for analyzing unique coverage issues, proactively collecting and organizing information, ensuring reserve adequacy, mitigating risk exposure, managing litigation, and developing effective resolution strategies. You will collaborate with underwriters and brokers to identify trends and assist with policy reviews. Familiarity with energy industry risks, including oil and gas exploration, equipment supply and knowledge of oilfield anti-indemnity statutes is a plus. You will be performing complex work under limited supervision. As such, we will expect you to exercise sound judgment and decision making in accordance with specified policies and guidelines. You should possess a high level of procedural and / or technical knowledge that has been developed through extensive experience.

Applicants for this role must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. The U.S. base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $227,500 USD. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual's skills, experience and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues' pay.
